I stumbled across the most amazing online zine shop and it sparked a huge amount of inspiration. I haven't attempted to make any zines since I was at Camberwell but ever since I got to Leeds all I've wanted to do is make one. For some reason I haven't yet but after seeing this site I want to make a whole bunch. I think I need to be making things like this to keep me sane on this ridiculous course.
Most of these images/drawings don't make any sense or are just plain ridiculous, but that's what I miss the most about Camberwell. We don't do anything like this in Leeds; everything has to be clean cut and polished and photoshopped to death. I can't stand it.
I miss how a finished piece of work could literally be a few A4 pieces of paper stitched together to make a book full of weird and wonderful things. I miss when computers barely factored in the making of my work. I miss having ink stained hands.
I guess the saying is true, you really don't know what you've got till it's gone.
